The objectives of these three hour tutorials on acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and congestive cardiac failure (CCF).
By the end of the tutorials students should have:
  • revised the pathophysiology of both ACS and CCF
  • a greater understanding of common causes and risk factors for ACS and CCF
  • be able to describe evidence based therapeutic management including indications and contra-indications
  • be able to look up dose ranges, side effects and cautions for the common agents used to treat ACS and CCF both acutely and long term
  • have an understanding of key issues for patient education
